Our Curriculum
Fossils to Fuel

For 3rd-6th Grade Students

Fossils to Fuel is a hands-on science curriculum to help students learn about energy sources, geology, density, matter, porosity and sound waves. These eight lessons also teach math concepts like measurements, mass and volume, data organization, decimals and fractions.

Developed and written by Oklahoma elementary and middle school educators, university specialists, and geologists, Fossils to Fuel meets the Oklahoma Academics Standards for Science, Math and English/Language Arts. The curriculum provides everything a teacher needs, including a free teacher’s guide and activity kit.

Start teaching the Fossils to Fuel curriculum

To acquire the Fossils to Fuel curriculum, teachers must attend a day-long professional development workshop. The workshops are free, and educators receive a $100 stipend for attending. Educators completing the workshop receive six (6) Professional Development hours.
