Little Bits (Grades K-2) - 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
- The OERB Little Bits curriculum, designed for Grades K-2, is ideal for educators teaching all subjects in a self-contained classroom. It includes eight engaging activities covering topics such as sound vibrations, force, physical properties, and well site safety, while integrating skills and content from reading, social studies, math, and science. Little Bits serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science. Teachers will receive six (6) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
Fossils to Fuel (Grades 3-6) - 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
- The OERB Fossils to Fuel curriculum, designed for Grades 3-6, is ideal for educators teaching all subjects in a self-contained classroom or teaching elementary science. It includes eight engaging activities designed to help students learn about energy sources, the formation of oil and natural gas, sound waves, and the engineering behind producing and using oil and natural gas in our everyday lives. Fossils to Fuel serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for English Language Arts, Math, and Science. Teachers will receive six (6) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
Fossils to Fuel 2 (Grades 3-6) - 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
- The OERB Fossils to Fuel 2 curriculum, designed for Grades 3-6, is ideal for educators teaching all subjects in a self-contained classroom or teaching elementary science. With seven engaging activities, this program teaches concepts students about coordinate grids, viscosity, pulleys, density, and recycling. Fossils to Fuel 2 serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for English Language Arts, Math, and Science. Teachers will receive six (6) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
Petro Active (Grades 6-8) - 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- The OERB Petro Active curriculum, designed for Grades 6-8, is ideal for educators teaching middle school science, with an emphasis on earth science focusing on Oklahoma. With seven engaging lessons, this program covers the formation of oil and natural gas, oil reservoirs, energy conservation, sound waves, seismology, and the refining of oil. Petro Active serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for English Language Arts, Math, and Science. Teachers will receive seven (7) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
Rockin' Ratios (Grades 5 -Pre-Algebra) - 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- The OERB Rockin’ Ratios curriculum, designed for Grades 5th grade – Pre-Algebra, is ideal for educators teaching middle school math through pre-Algebra. This curriculum has three lessons covering mapping, tangrams, slope, algebraic reasoning, ratios, and proportional relationships. Rockin’ Ratios serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Mathematics. Teachers will receive seven (7) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
CORE Energy SCIENCE (Grades 9-12) - 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- The OERB CORE Energy Science curriculum, designed for Grades 9-12, is ideal for educators teaching high school level Physical Science, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Life Science and Earth Science. This curriculum has four lessons and exposes students to flow rate, hydrocarbon structures, fractional distillation, and bioremediation. CORE Energy Science serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for science. Teachers will receive seven (7) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
CORE Energy Social Studies (Grades 9-12) - 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
- The OERB CORE Energy Social Studies, designed for Grades 9-12, is ideal for educators teaching high school level Oklahoma History, US History, World History and Economics. The eight activities in this curriculum focus heavily on Oklahoma History, but also contains lessons on the US economy, the 1970s energy crisis and a history of Oklahoma’s energy industry. CORE Energy Social Studies serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for social studies. Teachers will receive six (6) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
CORE Energy Math (Grades 9-12) - 8:00 AM-4:00 PM
- The OERB CORE Energy Math, designed for Grades 9-12, is ideal for educators teaching high school level Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry. The three activities in this curriculum cover revenue/expenses, angles, functions, graphing, and rate of change. CORE Energy Math serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for math. Teachers will receive seven (7) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
CORE Energy Language Arts (Grades 9-12) - 8:00 AM-3:00 PM
- The OERB CORE Energy Language Arts curriculum, designed for Grades 9-12, is ideal for educators teaching high school level Language Arts. This curriculum is comprised of four lessons covering concepts in detail and tone, textual evidence and inferences, using historical fiction, rhetoric, and pathos, logos and ethos. CORE Energy Language Arts serves as a supplemental resource to support students in meeting the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Language Arts. Teachers will receive six (6) professional development hours for attending this workshop.
